PART-TIME SEASONAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Salary Range
$16.50 - $18.50/hour

Basic Function and Responsibility
Seeking motivated and detail-oriented seasonal workers for high volume Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) ELISA testing. Earn extra cash for the holidays while developing your hands-on laboratory skills. Individuals with availability to work two-six weeks starting in mid-November.
Required availability Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to work after 5:00 p.m. as well as weekends if necessary.  The laboratory will be closed November 25th and 26th in observance of Thanksgiving, as well as Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. 

Characteristic Duties
Trim and weigh cervid tissues in preparation for diagnostic testing. Ensure that sample accountability is maintained by verifying identification numbers and bar codes.
Operate laboratory equipment to properly homogenize trimmed tissues. 
Work efficiency, trustworthiness, and strict adherence to laboratory quality control standards with attention to detail are of upmost importance. 

Shift
Work will start mid-November.
Part-Time - 10 to 39 hours/week.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
