Part-Time Teacher Aide - Afternoon Shift

We are looking for those people who have a passion to make a difference in the lives of young children and want to prepare and equip them fully for kindergarten. This is accomplished by assisting the Lead Teacher with activities in the classroom and manage the classroom in the absence of the Lead Teacher. You will provide a healthy, safe, nurturing, and responsive setting for children. You will help them learn to live and play well with others. You’ll teach them how to be healthy, have self-awareness, be competent, have self-worth, and how to be resilient.
 
As a Teacher Assistant, you will:
  • Assist in planning and implementing of daily activities
  • Set goals and document children’s goals in the classroom
  • Help in the classroom with therapists, developmental activities, actively participate in team meetings, participate and lead Parent-Teacher conferences and create and maintain a healthy environment that fosters children’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical development and respect each child’s dignity and contribution.

Here’s what we need from you:
  • One Year of experience working with children
  • Acceptable background screening with the Family Care Safety Registry

It would be awesome if you had:
  • CDA credential or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience working with children with physical and/or developmental disabilities
  • Training and experience using the Creative Curriculum
  • 10 to 12 College credit hours in Early Child Development or Pre-School learning
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Pay: up to $13.50 per hour
