Marketing Operations Manager

The Marketing Operations Manager will oversee marketing calendars, track project activities, and communicate status of marketing projects to team members. This position will be responsible for scheduling, calendaring and tracking of marketing projects to include E-commerce, visual merchandising, social media and budgeting. This position works closely with the VP of Marketing and Digital to keep the Marketing train on the tracks and moving forward.

Responsibilities
1. Work with VP to create, update, monitor and communicate project plans for marketing initiatives, including communicating updates and changes.
2. Develop comprehensive project plans and resource forecasts for marketing projects.
3. Maintain spreadsheets and calendars as tools for tracking and communicating project status.
4. Ensure clarity of communications about project statuses - ask the pointed questions to make sure all parties understand what is happening and what is needed.
5. Obtain vendor bids and manage invoicing processes.
6. Oversee marketing budgets, including frequent budget analysis and individual project budget updates.
7. Collaborate with team members to create vendor-facing documentation, including contracts, RFPs, scope of work documents, agendas, minutes, project status updates and reports.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in an advertising or marketing environment
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple complex marketing projects simultaneously
  • Strong technical spreadsheet and calendar management experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and demands
  • Clear, courteous and confident communication skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented tactical planning skills
  • Ability to anticipate and identify issues in a project plan and provide suggestions for overcoming obstacles
  • Excellent collaboration skills with all levels of the organization
  • Confidence to act without hesitation and to ask pointed questions to ensure clarification
  • Experience in a fashion-related industry a plus
