The business was launched by Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2019 and features new technology that repurposes brewer’s grain – barley – to produce plant protein ingredients. EverGrain is expanding operations in North America and Europe, and building related operations and commercial leadership teams. You are excited to make a significant impact in growing the capacity of the organization. In this role you, you will be part of a team owning process control systems in our plant. Guiding technical staff, creating and executing action plans to meet critical metrics, analyzing process data, troubleshooting equipment concerns on the fly, leading troubleshooting and improvements with technicians, influencing change, and growing both technically and as a leader are all elements of this great opportunity.

This role reports to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Strong safety ownership that leads by example. Promotes and encourages safe working practices through training, coaching, and driving accountability of team members.
  • Develop a product driven quality mindset, focused on exceeding customer requirements. Maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality excellence by driving operational excellence and mitigating behavioral risk factors.
  • Lead and coach teams through troubleshooting and monitoring of key operating processes and equipment utilizing lean manufacturing and six sigma methodology.
  • Have a curious mindset and be quick to adapt to identify areas to improve operations to achieve or exceed key performance indicators.
  • Design and continuously improve plant automation and controls systems, supporting upgrades and process changes as necessary.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to maintain and enhance the consistency, quality, and performance of plant production systems, and to improve key performance indicators.
  • Sets the best practices for mechanical design and manufacturing while growing and leading a mechanical design team. Provides hands-on support to solve complex technical problems. Develops test plans and review test reports.
  • Support learning and development initiatives to improve the technical knowledge and skill set of operators and technicians within area of expertise.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the production process from start to finish.
  • Contribute to plant strategic planning for equipment and process upgrades.
  • Promote and enforce effective change management, and ensure engineering, programming, and automation standards are upheld.

Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience supporting or developing process and process control systems.
  • Experience with Rockwell FTView Industrial Automation software, PlantPax, or equivalent.
  • Automation and Process Controls experience using Allen Bradley PLC-5, and Control Logix
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, including level, pressure, temperature, flow, and pH transmitters
  • Knowledge of switchgear and substation operation (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of computer network design and operation, including managed switches and IP address configuration (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to read schematics, single lines, and P&ID’s
  • Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
  • Required to work potentially some nights and weekends.
