Langer Household - Home Aide
Looking for a Home Aide to assist my 12 year old son with diagnoses of autism, epilepsy, and some extra medical needs. I’m looking for an aide to provide in-home support on a part time basis. He is a generally happy kid who enjoys being with people. The ideal applicant will be someone who can not only provide supervision, but will also be able to take initiative and be creative in finding new ways and activities in which to engage with him. He needs assistance with all daily living skills (dressing, eating, hygiene, potty-training, etc.), and an aide will need to support him in these areas while also helping him learn more independence with these skills. The best fit for Adrian will be someone with a lot of energy, patience, and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications
Great experience for PT, OT, SLP, Special Education students!
Prior experience with Special Needs Children helpful but not required.
Available year round (schedule and total hours may change to accommodate your course schedule and availability)
Creativity, Patience, Reliability and a Sense of humor!
Work schedule
6-15 hours weekly during school year, 6-25 hours weekly during the summer
3-5 hour shifts, weekdays and Sunday afternoon hours available
