Salary Range: $15-18/hour
Part-time: 20 hours/week

The University of Missouri Graduate School seeks applicants for a Program Assistant position to provide support for program planning and assessment. The mission of the Graduate School is to advocate for, support, and advance graduate and postdoctoral education. The Program Assistant will assist with planning and assessment of programs to enhance the success of graduate students and postdocs.

Position Description:
The Program Assistant duties include coordinating event logistics, program assessment, data entry, communicating the results of language testing, and development of reports. This position will also conduct information searches to support program planning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can work independently, and will work efficiently to complete tasks in a timely manner.

This position will be supervised by the Assistant Dean of the Graduate School and will work closely with Graduate School staff and leadership to support programs related to professional development, recruitment and diversity, international graduate teaching assistant support, communications (e.g., newsletter), and awards and fellowships.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree and 4 years or more of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired

Demonstration of excellence in:
  •  Organizational skills and attention to detail
  •  Written communication, including proofreading and editing
  •  Verbal communication
  •  Event planning (e.g., room reservations, email communications)
  •  Data entry
  •  Technology skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, One Drive, and online applications)
  •  Time management skills
  •  Motivation to continue to develop skills to perform job activities
