Maune Household - Personal Care Attendant
Overview:
Want to earn a little money, while also helping someone live independently?
Hours: Approx. 6 hours/week, flexible schedule
Pay Rate: $14/hour
Responsibilities:
-Reading documents, packages, labels, inaccessible webpages, etc.
-Assisting with dressing and grooming, including, but not limited to, color identification, removal of stains and wrinkles, and general help with make-up and accessories, along with the organization of such items.
-Driving and assisting with shopping, both grocery and other
-Labeling and organizing purchased items
-Light household cleaning
-Meal prep; basic cooking
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-Has a vehicle, driver’s license, and a good, safe driving record
-Comfortable with friendly, large dogs
-Able to pass a background check with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry
Skill Requirements:
-Effective listening and communicating skills
-Desire to learn; unafraid to ask questions
-Good attention to detail
-Strong work ethic
-Punctuality
-Flexibility
Bonus/Desired Skills:
-Ability to parallel park
-Strong knowledge of fashion; ability to describe an array of colors, patterns, etc.
-Ability to do cool eye-makeup
-Possess some knowledge of disability rights and/or disability justice, accessibility, etc.
