Community Commons Digital Content Creation and Curation

Community Commons Digital Content Creation and Curation interns will participate with and support the Community Commons Team. Community Commons is a collaborative initiative that exists to serve the healthy communities’ movement by helping change-makers advance equitable community health and well-being. For the last decade, IP3 and its partners have stewarded Community Commons by connecting those driving change to the best tools, resources, data, and stories to support the work.
 
IP3 is currently seeking one or more undergraduate student interns to support digital content development, and resource curation and indexing for Community Commons. Over the course of the internship, interns will significantly contribute to the creation of data driving CommunityCommons.org, and develop a digital portfolio of published works, including original and curated content for CommunityCommons.org. Anticipated activities include:
  • Working as part of the team that develops and maintains our data. This may involve writing metadata, working in the database to build relationships, modifying database and other duties as assigned.
  • Helping create digital content that advances well-being and equity. This may involve conducting research, curating sets of resources, and writing original blogs and other web copy, and other duties as assigned.
  • Supporting website needs. This may involve supporting user engagement and engagement through social media, incorporating best practices from marketing, communications, and user experience design, and supporting website analytics to evaluate the impact of digital content.
