2023 Business 8-Week Internship Opportunity!

At FCS Financial, part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, we are looking for 2023 Business Interns to join our Team! FCS Financial is a member of the largest agriculture lending cooperative in the United States today. At FCS, we seek individuals who share passion for agriculture, rural living and helping people achieve their goals and dreams!
FCS is offering internships to the growing Latino community in Missouri! FCS Financial offers every summer a paid 8-week internship opportunity (hotel, transportation, and food costs are covered by FCS Financial). FCS Financial teams up with ALIANZAS (MU EXTENSION and the UMKC Institute for Human Development) to help give the opportunity for the students to learn about the business functions of the Association and also gain knowledge about the Latino Culture within the agriculture community. The Business Interns will be working with an ALIANZAS mentor throughout their experience at FCS Financial! They are encouraged to use bilingual (Spanish) skills.

The Business Internship is designed to expose the student to all areas of FCS Financial! Working with several mentors, interns learn the components of the lending process, from meeting the customer and taking the application, through credit analysis and decision, to appraisal and loan closing. Interns will work primarily in our Central Office in Jefferson City, Missouri, but will also spend time out in our retail offices with our Marketplace Staff. Time will be spent with various departments such as: Human Resources, Information Services, Legal, Operations, Audit, Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Credit, Scorecard Lending, Information Technology, Sales and Support, Appraisal, Crop Insurance, and Risk Management. The last two weeks of the internship program will allow the interns to customize their experience and focus on area of interest within the company.
The Business Interns will also complete one or more projects identified by FCS that are hands-on in nature and are approved by our Executive Leadership Team to add value to the Association.
Presentations to the Board of Directors, Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, mentors and other staff are done in late July prior to the end of the internship.
Applications will be accepted until February 15th, 2023, for the 2023 Summer Business Internship Program.
The starting hourly wage is $16.00 per hour (Subject to Change).
