Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer
*Multiple opportunities are available, both in Tualatin, OR and Fremont, CA*
Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, modify Electrical hardware systems 
  • Creates and releases engineering drawings & bill of materials using engineering change management process 
  • Creates electrical schematics and system based on requirements
  • Conducts and drives design review for new concepts 
  • Assists with development, and refinement of functional specifications for electrical control systems
  • Works with multidisciplinary engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components
  • Perform electrical engineering evaluation, design, development, and modification of electrical and electro-mechanical systems, embedded systems and control systems.
  • Utilize a real-time distributed control system to meet wafer performance requirements
  • Design, bring up, test and troubleshoot mixed-signal circuit boards that bridge the sensors and actuators with the high-level system software
  • Assist with the integration and validation of your design in a larger system
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering or similar and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree (M.S.) without experience
  • Very good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation required
  • Experience in signals and controls theory required
  • Has system level knowledge of Electrical architecture, design of IO Controllers and Applications
  • Good working knowledge in PCB/ Low voltage circuit design for power and control applications
  • Expert in application of power and controls technologies for systems automation 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in electrical design and control of complex systems
  • Experience designing and utilizing embedded systems
  • Experience in the design, development and realization of analog and digital electronic circuits, including:
  • component selection, schematic capture, design validation, documentation, and integration into the final product
  • Familiar with real-time device I/O control systems and digital communications systems
  • I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, EtherCAT
  • Extensive troubleshooting experience from system to component level
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, highly competitive environment
  • Experience and involvement in all stages of product life cycle of semiconductor equipment from C&F to new product introduction to CIP is considered a plus
