Day Camp Coordinator

The Day Camp Coordinator provides supervision, leadership, and resources while managing the day-to-day operations of the Day Camp. Incumbents in this position address camper discipline issues, prepare daily plans and provide camper safety. Typical duties include managing staﬀing issues, scheduling, training, and camp staﬀ evaluations, as well as leading, monitoring, and supervising employees to achieve goals that contribute to individual and organizational success.
Camp Wentzville's hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from June 5 through August 7. We offer before and after care, starting as early as 7:00 a.m. and ending as late as 6:00 p.m. Camp training is mandatory and will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning May 22 and concluding on June 2. Camp staff will be scheduled to work every weekday, an average of 40 hours per week, during the summer camp season. After the 2023 summer camp season ends, there are other opportunities for part-time work for those in good standing who wish to remain active employees (WREC kids' club, day camps during the school year, and more).
