Jefferson City Boys Program Assistant

HOURLY: $15/HR
Position Summary: This employment opportunity is a part-time position of dedication, service, caring, and compassion for helping at-risk youth in our Jefferson City Boys Program through program planning and youth relationship building. This position consists of afternoon and evening, Monday through Thursday, 20 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with HALO Boys Program Facilitator to transport HALO youth to and from school and programs
  • Collaborate with Boys Program Facilitator and volunteer teams to plan and facilitate HALO lesson plans to youth attending the program
  • Coordinating meal donations to accompany programs, creating a welcoming environment for meal volunteers and youth participants at all times
  • Track youth participation and retention to support program outcomes via Apricot
  • Organize donations and lead thank you process for HALO Pantry and Power Pack supplies
  • Assist with special events and projects as necessary
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Must be passionate about helping youth in need and have previous experience working with at-risk populations is preferred.
  • High school degree or equivalent with at least 1 year experience in a professional setting
  • Must exhibit strong organizational and communication skills. Works well in a team atmosphere, highly motivated and take initiative on projects
  • Candidates must have a clean driving record and obtain a Class E drivers license within 30 days of employment and pass a background check
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
