Social Media & Public Relations VISTA (Chicago)

As Social Media & Public Relations VISTA at Gateway to the Great Outdoors (GGO), you will be making a difference as you help secure financial stability and community awareness about GGO. You will write press releases, develop press kits, design media materials, and conduct outreach specific to St. Louis. You will also build the financial capacity of GGO by securing media partnerships and developing new community and individual partnerships, thus creating new streams of revenue and outreach protocols. Additionally, you will be responsible for using existing donor information to create an outreach history database for future GGO employees. This VISTA will build GGO's capacity to increase the revenue necessary to continue GGO programming. Expanding GGO's finances promotes GGO's ability to achieve student academic success and promote healthy futures, thus ending the cycle of poverty for low-income students.
