Innovation Pipeline Co-op
PURPOSE
Support technical development and excecution of novel ideas in PlantnBiotechnology pipeline. Work collaboratively with researchers and scientists toward shared research goals and technical milestones. Gain exposure to work in industry for a co-op.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
- Conduct research on projects selected through innovation pipeline innitiative.
- Contribute to experimental design and data analysis in collaboration with other scientists.
- Document research plan, methods, results and data analysis.
- Prepare and communicate reports and summaries in written and/or verbal form to manager and other stakeholders.
- Follow established operational standards including best practices, safety protocols and compliance policies.
- Prioritize and coordinate work within a larger team and across functional groups.
- Connect with key stakeholder and technical experts and contribute to innovation and Intellectual property in the team and Crop Science R&D

Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled within a university in the US, pursuing a MS or PhD degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related field.
- Ability to design, plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
- Detail oriented and able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Passion and creativity for solving problems
- Ability to expand knowledge base through continuous learning
- Experience with molecular biology, cloning, gene editing, plant tissue culture, sequence analysis, field/ greenhouse work, insects,
- and/or gene expression.
