The Division of Molecular Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics seeks a full-time Tech A to provide research assistance for a study investigating molecular genetics of weight regulation. 

The qualified candidate will work closely with all team members and the other members of the Division of Molecular Genetics. The duties of the job include, but not limited to basic molecular genetics bench work including DNA extraction, RT-PCR, sanger sequencing, western blot. The successful candidate will also participate in undertaking animal studies including measurement of weight, length, body composition and tests for glucose tolerance. The technician may be involved. In therapeutics studies in animals. 

This job requires high level of organization with attention to details. S/He should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with basic computer skills. Must be fluent in English. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.  Highly organized with great attention to detail.
