Public Health - Intern


 *Job Description: Meals on Wheels delivers hot noon meals to seniors in Columbia, MO. The intern would be a trained driver to fill in when scheduled drivers have a conflict. The intern would be learning about grant writing, documentation, volunteer recruitment, client in-takes, and special event fund raisers. The intern would be allowed to attend monthly Board meetings and other community events where MOW is represented. Currently, we also need an intern to facilitate with social media, advertising, and presentation throughout the community. Currently MOW has an April Big Wheels, a fall fundraiser, and the November volunteer banquet. All of these special events would use the intern to help with organization, planning the event, participate in the event, and then evaluating the outcomes.
 
 *Qualifications: Intern should have compassion for senior adults, effective communication skills (oral and written), be self-sufficient and responsible for completion of task, dependable to perform parts of projects independently, interest in social media, marketing, presentations, etc.
