Responsibilities
Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping
Implement an Emergent Curriculum
Support children's emotional, physical, or behavioural well-being while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.
Maintain attendance and health and safety checks.
Responsible for the care, hygiene, learning, developmental activities, specialized programs, and redirection of children
Maintains classroom organization
Engage with current and prospective parents and family members and is responsive to their needs.
Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary
Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in state regulations
Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops
Keep management informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of the children
Assist and accept responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary if other personnel are.
Specifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers.
Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
Strong collaborator and team player
Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom
Strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications
High School Diploma
CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in ECE preferred
Clear FBI, criminal, child abuse, and NSOR background checks
Up to date Health Assessment / TB test.
Ability to push, pull and lift up- to 45 pounds
