Engineering Student for Engineering Services

Support for Healthcare Engineering:
The University of Missouri Healthcare System’s fast-paced Planning Design and Construction Department is looking for a motivated individual interested in gaining experience in supporting Engineering Activities. A successful candidate will have effective communication skills, high accuracy and attention to detail with a passion for understanding building systems and code.
Are your ready for some hands on experience?

Job responsibilities may include:
• Working with engineering staff to update or modify plans
• Create as-built one-line diagrams of various building systems
• Update graphic depiction of areas served by various building systems
• Site Visits to many of the different MU Health System’s locations
• Find specific code reference information needed by MUHC Managing Engineer
• Confirm all Close-Out documentation has been received
• Archive project documentation at end of project
Qualifications
• Candidate must be enrolled in an engineering program at the University of Missouri or be on a pre-engineering track.
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, OneNote), AutoCAD, BlueBeam.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
Available office Hours
• 7:00 AM - 5 PM
• Hours are flexible. Position expected to work a minimum of 12 hours per week, with minimum of 3 hour blocks per day. Schedules may be adjusted to meet academic needs and can be accommodated with advanced notice. Full time may be available during breaks and summer.
