Purchasing Specialist

We are currently hiring a Purchasing Specialist in the Merchandising department for our Clothing and Footwear line. In this position, you will serve our Customers by selecting products and building relationships with our Suppliers.
Skills we are looking for in a Purchasing Specialist:
- 1-3 years experience in a position requiring attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field is required
- Someone who will be a user of MidwayUSA's core products
- Excellent product and technical knowledge
- Someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to continuously improve our processes.
- Finally, a person who is a great fit with our Culture and Values, and who has an active interest in the outdoor/sporting industry.
What our Purchasing Specialist does:
- Select and import products according to established category budget & overall company budget
- Meet and negotiate with Suppliers to develop opportunities
- Review Supplier Performance metrics & suggest & implement measures to drive improvement
- Participate in Promotions planning and implementation
- Inventory Management

- Annual Salary Range (commensurate with experience): $53,000-$70,000 with annual benchmarking and pay increases to always ensure a competitive salary
