Technology Solutions Support Animal Monitoring Intern (Hybrid)

Job Description


The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Animal Health Intelligence Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long term goals.

The Technology Solutions Support animal monitoring Intern will support both our dairy and beef sales teams and customers. Technology Solution Support intern will provide on-site, and remote troubleshooting, installation startups and training for our animal monitoring systems both dairy and beef.

Key Competencies:

  • Assist with animal monitoring system setup and configuration.
  • Remote and on-site troubleshooting of animal monitoring systems
  • Remote training and review of system operations animal monitoring systems
  • Organized with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks.
  • Document software and hardware issues with animal monitoring systems.
  • Develop training materials for animal monitoring systems.
  • Support sales process for animal monitoring where technical consultation is needed.
  • Work with sales to create site layouts and Technology solutions for monitoring.
  • Track and document incoming calls for failure analysis and escalation


Education Minimum Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree with dairy or technical emphasis.
  • Herd Management software experience (DC305, PC Dart, etc.).

Required Experience & Skills

  • Must possess a valid U.S. motor vehicle driver’s license without restriction.
  • Excellent written, verbal and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Should avoid any conflict of interest situations as it might apply to outside dealings with suppliers, vendors, customers, or prospects.
  • Willingness to abide by all company policy and approval processes when traveling or purchasing company assets.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.  This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely.
