Diversion Case Manager
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Diversion Case Manager. Our diversion programs are voluntary alternatives for eligible individuals that provide the opportunity to avoid traditional prosecution consequences after completion of programming.
Qualifications: Must have a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field from an accredited university; master’s degree preferred. Experience in case management preferred but not required.
Duties: This position includes handling all aspects of case management.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Attend court to inform potential participants about program details/requirements
- Perform needs assessment for individualized case plan development for all new participants
- Revise case plans as needed for participant progress
- Frequent contact consistent with program requirements with all participants to ensure program progress
- Refer participants to appropriate services based on participants’ individualized needs
- Collaborate with community providers to ensure continuity and quality of care for participants
- Resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
- Assist clients with psychoeducational and life skills
- Provide progress reports to Prosecutor and Court
- Use of motivational interviewing techniques and a trauma-informed approach in all case management functions
- Practice cultural competence in case handling with awareness and respect for diversity
- Document all participant interactions and progress by tracking and maintaining timely participant notes
- Maintain confidentiality of participants’ information
- Skillful management of case load
- Participate as a team member in fostering innovative programming
- Performing other duties as assigned
Salary/Benefits: Salary range $40,000-$52,000; Benefits including health care and retirement
