Student Digital Communications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project staff in writing website content and blog post updates for the Maternal Health Action Network website.
  • Ability and/or willingness to work with various software to create graphics using graphic design software, such as Adobe editing products (Illustrator, InDesign, or Photoshop), Canva, or Tableau.
  • Upload content to the website.
  • Draft social media content, both visual and written.
  • Support an online communications and events platform as needed. 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor/graduate degree in a related field of study.
  • Prior experience creating digital visual content is required.
  • Demonstrated experience using graphic design software, such as Adobe editing products (Illustrator, InDesign, or Photoshop), Canva, or Tableau.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with proofreading, understanding, and condensing complex information into quick summaries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to work well individually and in a team in a very diverse and multicultural organization in remote and in-person settings. 
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) as well as Gmail.
  • Experience preferred in managing various social media and marketing tools including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented. 
  • Knowledge and experience with WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and guidelines, including accessibility audit and quality assurance tools and processes.
  • Preference for a demonstrated interest in ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion for all people.
