2024 Summer Agronomy & Digital Internship Position
Our business, NG Seed Solutions LLC, is a progressive seed agency located in Laddonia, Missouri. Along with selling a full line of Pioneer Seed, we provide industry-leading service to our customers and are looking for an individual to support our efforts this summer.
We are seeking an organized, self-starter individual who is able to work independently on projects and tasks within our Pioneer seed agency. Typically, the job will be 5 days per week and around 40 hours per week with time off on weekends and holidays. The 2024 Summer Agronomy & Digital Internship position is designed around crop scouting with our digital platform, Granular Insights.

Job description duties include the following:
- Crop scouting throughout the growing season
- Documenting scouting and information into Granular Insights
- Meet with NG Seed Solutions growers to ensure we’re meeting their needs
- Put out field signs on customer plots and fields
- Assist in the planning and preparation of summer field day
- Ride along with Pioneer field agronomists to learn what to look for when evaluating test plots throughout the season
- Potential ride alongs with industry professionals such as other agronomists or chemical retailers
- Attend Pioneer and potentially other area agronomy meetings to learn more about various varieties and agronomy topics. These could include those that are in person and possible webinar training too
- Enter customer test plot data into the TDE tablet system
- Help plant test plots on Pioneer customers
- Deliver Pioneer seed to customer operations
- Visit customers fields to evaluate and document any replant areas or areas with agronomy concerns
- Gather soil samples or plant tissue samples for various nematode or other agronomy tests
