Fall 2024 Internship - Regulatory Affairs
Qualifications:
- Student pursuing a degree in an Agricultural or Political Science, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of college courses completed.
- Student must have completed at least two years of college and be enrolled in college credits during the semester in which the internship occurs or be enrolled in college credit hours during the following Fall semester.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to operate a computer and Microsoft Office software.

Summary:
Assists Director of Regulatory Affairs in Representing MOFB Members’ Interests Before State and Federal Regulatory Agencies. MOFB’s Regulatory Affairs Program keeps track of issues affecting farmers and ranchers’ operations. This internship will help MOFB expand its reach by helping monitoring rules and regulations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Missouri Departments of Natural Resources, Conservation, Agriculture and Transportation. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about MOFB’s policy and advocacy work in Jefferson City and Washington D.C., and to get to know MOFB leaders and learn more about our priority issues from a hands-on perspective.
- Assists with attendance of meetings and comment letters and communications with regulatory agencies.
- Assists with regulatory tracking in the Missouri Register and Federal Register.
- Responds to inquiries on regulatory issues.
- Assists with research projects as part of MOFB’s policy development process.
- Attends meetings with other MOFB legislative staff.
