Our Purpose
Research clearly demonstrates that number one reason students drop out of college is due to financial reasons. The Office for Financial Success (OFS) is dedicated to helping students build competence and confidence to manage their personal finances during college into young adulthood. We specialize in financial literacy education in one-on-one and group settings.
Marketing is essential to spreading the word about our services to the campus community!
Objective
The purpose of this position is for undergraduate students to gain marketing experience in the financial field. The student marketing manager is integral to promoting the OFS’ mission of greater financial well-being.
Duties are determined in consultation with applicant based on current skills and desired professional development. They may include:
- Contribute creative ideas and edit office social media pages, newsletters, and blogs
- Create, edit and/or produce digital/printed marketing materials including graphic design, photo, and video media
- Distribute and continually update marketing resources around campus
- Assist with event coordination and planning
- Edit and maintain OFS website
- Professionally interact with students and faculty on a daily basis
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student at the University of Missouri
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative, and organized
- Ability to comfortably work with others and maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics
