Randa Internship 2018

We offer internships tailored to a specific role, providing in-depth training and exposure to suppliers, retailers and brands. Working side-by-side with Randa associates and managers, you will participate in meetings, structured training sessions and assignments as a full participant and collaborator in our business. Our internship is a 10-week snapshot of a full-time role.

 

At the end of the 10-week program, each intern will have the challenge and opportunity to develop and present an individualized project to senior management. These presentations are the highlight of an exciting and rewarding experience, while providing each intern an opportunity to spotlight their knowledge and insights.

 

The intern program lays the foundation of a great career at Randa. Many of our summer intern graduates are currently working for Randa.

 

Opportunities are available for rising seniors and recent graduates.

 

Internships available in:  Sales, Forecasting, Merchandising, Design, Creative Services / Marketing, & Licensing

Sales Responsibilities:

·         Analyzing weekly selling reports

·         Preparing for and attending customer meetings

·         Working with major retailer accounts

·         Maintaining and update style matrices

·         Working with senior management to find sales opportunities within accounts

·         Building and maintaining good working relationships with account’s buying offices

 

Forecasting Responsibilities:

·         Assisting forecast analysts in using historical data to project future sales and needed inventory levels

·         Working with retailer planning department to adjust forecast according to market trends

·         Preparing internal and external selling reports and sales plans

·         Communicating extensively with sales, licensing and logistics teams

·         Working with planning department to adjust forecast accordingly

·         Supporting the forecasting team with organizing samples and selling reports

 

Merchandising Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and interpreting fashion trends into salable product
  • Helping with seasonal presentations to internal sales teams, brands and retailers
  • Assisting the product development process, from early concepts through introduction to market
  • Assisting line building and merchandising of multiple product categories
  • Communicate daily with overseas factories on new sample requests, pricing, and ensure timely delivery according to development calendar
  • Visual merchandising

 

 

 

 

Design Responsibilities:

  • Assisting design team in creating designs that fit into seasonal concepts and brand vision
  • Working with Randa’s licensed brand partners’ internal design teams to create cohesive seasonal collections
  • Creating interesting product that meets both functional and aesthetic needs within the technical constructs of leather, fabric and hardware accessories
  • Providing technical details to overseas vendors for prototype development
  • Sourcing materials and applications
  • 3D design

 

Licensing Responsibilities:

  • Supporting day-to-day needs of licensors
  • Building and maintaining working relationships with licensors
  • Assisting with licensor contract compliance, contract negotiations, deal terms and create term sheets
  • Preparing the organization for contract terminations, renegotiations, extensions or renewals
  • Working with sales and merchandising teams to develop business plans
  • Assisting with interdepartmental communications for licensor requests
  • Researching new brands, product categories and industries
  • Assisting with trademark and patent searches
  • Monitor and track account approvals

 

Creative Services / Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Graphic design for internal and external communications
