PRIMARY FUNCTION

As a Visual Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for the creative vision throughout the store and for creating and organizing engaging displays that showcase our style offerings. Your visionary ideas and love for great design will serve as a source of inspiration and ideas to our guests. A passion for high-quality products and outstanding customer service will encourage guests to discover new looks and feel empowered in their sense of style.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspire purchases by delivering artistic and inspirational presentations through merchandising of Mannequin Moments, VA/VMG execution, Home Trend Runs, Home Innovation spaces and Home, Seasonal and Baby focals.
Teach, influence and inspire leaders and team members on merchandising techniques to create compelling merchandise statements (Fan Central, Front of Store, Seasonal, etc.) and provide support to maintain and execute a cohesive visual strategy around the store.
Stay current with fashion trends and what is happening in the industry.
Understand, implement, and train B.A.S.I.C.S.
Deliver a relevant and differentiated guest experience through product, brand and trend knowledge in style categories to assist with overall guest experience.
Be knowledgeable about products sold in apparel and accessories and Home style spaces; including promotions and top sellers, seasonal trend stories and new product by staying current with available trainings and product information.
Understand and interpret business priorities and sales drivers to drive more productive workload from the team.
Provide ideals and feedback to store and field leadership.
Adjust ISM and/or promotional signing based on remerchandising.
Plan and drive designer launches/events in partnership with the A&A team.
Walk the sales floor weekly with your A&A TL, ETL and STL to identify merchandising opportunities and use your visual merchandising skill set to create plans and execute them with the team.
Work alongside A&A team members in the end-to-end process.
Responsible for teaching and training the importance of fixture blocking and light placement.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
1-2 years of visual merchandising experience.
High school degree or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Able to scan and handle all merchandise.
Able to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions.
Able to climb and descend ladders.
Able to access and move around all areas of the store quickly.
Able to lift 40 lbs.
Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed.
Flexible work schedule (e.g. nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance necessary.
