Play Therapist

Come Play, STL is a premier pediatric clinic seeking a skilled Play Therapist. A person who is eager to continue to hone their clinical skills with the best research based modalities out there. A person who wants to walk alongside a client and help them reach their therapeutic goals. A person who is flexible and able to adapt to an ever growing ever changing unique outpatient team driven medical clinic. A person who leads clients, parents/caregivers, and other team members with humility, perseverance, and confidence. A person who desires to be part of a collaborative team working to ensure the best outcomes for Come Play, STL’s clients. Duties and

Responsibilities:

● Complete assessments of clients using formal and informal tools to identify strengths and areas for treatment and to diagnose psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders within scope of practice

● Create and implement treatment plans for clients and as appropriate their caregivers that encourage overall well-being and functional outcomes

● Provide therapy based on the treatment plan

● Provide guidance, education, consultation to the clients, their caregivers and other professionals to optimize outcomes and carryover

● Attend regularly scheduled team meetings to discuss policies and operational guidelines, caseload management, opportunities for improvement, and ideas for future services

● Partner with the other members of the Come Play, STL team to customize a treatment plan, coordinate services, implement best practices, provide consistency to clients and ensure the best possible outcome

Abilities and Skills:

● Professional oral and written communication and excellent interpersonal communication skills with clients and coworkers

● Ability to meet the needs of a varied client population therapeutically and sensitively

● Sound analytical and problem-solving skills

● Strong organizational and prioritization aptitude

● Comply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in client and staff matters

● Physical demands require clinicians to continually walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
