Mental Health Professional / Therapist – Family-Based Services

Location: Wayne County, PA
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Schedule: 40 hours/week, flexible (may include evenings and weekends)
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 (paid in increments over the first 6 months)
Training: 3-year certification training in the Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT) model through the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center

At Salisbury Behavioral Health, a division of RHA Health Services, we are seeking a compassionate and driven Mental Health Professional / Therapist to join our Family-Based Services team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work intensively with children and families to promote healthy relationships, emotional regulation, and long-term well-being.

Position Overview

The Mental Health Professional serves as the lead therapist and co-leader of a multidisciplinary treatment team. You will manage a caseload of up to 8 children and families, providing both team-delivered (60%) and individual (40%) therapy and case management services in the home and community settings. This role includes treatment planning, assessment, and coordination of services, all while building strong therapeutic relationships that foster family cohesion and stability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead treatment planning, service delivery, and coordination of care for assigned caseload

Provide in-home and community-based therapy to children and families

Develop and update treatment plans, intake paperwork, and assessments in accordance with program timelines and regulatory requirements

Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation (within 24 hours of services)

Facilitate aftercare planning and linkage to community supports

Participate in psychiatric evaluations, medication reviews, and interdisciplinary meetings

Supervise and collaborate with co-therapists and case managers

Uphold CASSP principles and culturally competent practices

Attend scheduled trainings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision

Support crisis intervention using de-escalation techniques (e.g., ProAct)

Required Qualifications

Education:

Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Education, Rehabilitation, or related Human Services field

OR RN with five years of mental health experience and Department of Public Welfare certification as a family-based worker

Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a CASSP (Children & Adolescent Service System Program) setting

Previous experience working with children, adolescents, and families

Experience with behavioral health issues in outpatient or community-based settings

Familiarity with treatment planning, clinical documentation, and community resource coordination

Licenses/Certifications:

Valid driver's license

Must pass required background checks (FBI, ChildLine, Criminal, Driving Record)

CPR and First Aid (training provided if needed)
