Schedule: 6–12 hours/week | Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays | Flexible timing with consistent weekly schedule
Duration: Fall 2025
Compensation: Paid internship (rate discussed upon interview)

FPIN is a 27-year-old national nonprofit dedicated to supporting primary care clinicians in practicing evidence-based medicine and producing scholarship. We’re a small, mission-driven organization with a big impact in the world of medical publishing and clinician education.
Internship Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fall Intern to support key operational and editorial functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in health sciences, journalism, or nonprofit work.
Key Responsibilities
- Copyediting and formatting medical manuscript submissions
- Performing data entry
- Updating tracking systems
- Logging and following up on editorial agreements and author requests
- Reconciling and organizing expense receipts
- Assisting with accreditation-related research for graduate medical education (GME)
- Supporting mailing projects and general office tasks
- Monitoring and triaging email inboxes
- Completing one-off administrative assignments

Requirements
- Must be available to work in person at our Columbia, Missouri office
- Ability to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays (6–12 hours total/week)
- Consistent weekly availability is required
- Strong proofreading, written communication, and computer skills
