I loved having a job that was hands-on and allowed me to really form connections with the family I was working for. I learned so many things about autism and the different ways it can present itself. Every day I was able to do something different and challenging that showed me what I need to work on.
What I wish was different
I wish this job was more tailored to my studies and future career path.
Advice
It is a lot to take on. Providing childcare to a kid with special needs is not an easy task and takes loads of patience and a level head.

Advice
You need to have an open mind and be patient with people. Everyone is different and has a different mentality and on that note, they may have good days where it seems easy but they may also have bad days where your job will be more difficult. Understanding what this person may be going through is nothing like anything you have or will go through and so you cannot judge them. Patience and understanding is key.
